I’m reading a phenomenal book called “the untethered soul” by Michael A. Singer. I highly recommend it! This morning I woke up early, picked up the book and opened to the chapter called “a path to unconditional happiness”. So much has been written about happiness; how to find it, be with it, explore it, etc. Michael’s opinion is that when we open our heart we’re happy and when we close it we’re not. It’s that simple. He states that even when a marriage ends, a friend passes away or you lose your job, you must keep your heart open. It is when we shut it down and swirl in the vortex of victim that we lose our happiness. Feel the pain, acknowledge it and let it pass and keep the heart open.
Happiness is a choice. We can choose to see life as energy constantly shifting and changing from moment to moment. What happened in the past is over and doesn’t define your happiness today. We have the power of choice. So join me if you will in making a commitment to unconditional happiness no matter what life presents us. Remember it’s about acknowledging the pain, grieving it and letting it pass, knowing that we are only dancing on this earth for a short time. I’m choosing to live my life in unconditional happiness today!
